2 june Around Ameland
With a group around the whole island seemed to run a number of regulars from the Commander Steakhouse Hollum something. It was 1995. Peter Ney WASD author of this sporting event.

16 june Muzikaal Bootwateren
The name "water boat" is rooted in the success of a rescue. It was formerly celebrated in a local cafe while enjoying drinks and a cigar 2 which were given as rewards by the salvor. Besides a demonstration of the Horse Lifeboat during these days and mop orchestras (shanty) occur at several stages choirs. 17 june Ameland Beach Rugby Festival
The tournament can rejoice in a major European interest and is the largest beach rugby tournament rugby world knows. The festival hosts the official Dutch Open Beach Rugby Championship for both men and women. There is also a recreation class, a class and a Future Veterans Class. Click here for more information.

29 june – 1 july Madness Festival
Madness is a durable surf, skate and music festival and takes place in 2012 for the fifth time on the beach Nes. A weekend visitors to enjoy surfing lessons, half pipe on the beach, 25 bands and DJs, a floating stage, theater, home clothes, build a windmill, a beach cleaning and much more. 26 july Cultureel Ambachtelijke dag
On Thursday, July 26, 2012 you can enjoy Ballum crafts such as threshing, hats folds, clog making, flax processing, spinning and more! There are many booths with exhibits, including old tools and utensils. Much of the residents of Nes and exhibitors to this day dressed in costume on grandmothers. For the children there is plenty to do, for example, archery or threshing flail! Click here for more information.

3 Agust Rôggefeest
Do you like music and street theater? Then on August 3 the crossing to the island and visit the village Nes there in the famous and atmospheric Rôggefeest. After an amazing opening to + / - 12.30, you can enjoy more than 20 locations of the most diverse musical acts and street theater groups. Click here for more information.

15 september Tri-Ambla
The best triathlon in the Netherlands takes place in September on Ameland. On September 15, 2012 600 triathletes will again be at the start of the eleventh Cross Triathlon swimming in the Wadden Sea and mountain biking and walking through woods, dunes and the beach is always treacherous. 20 october Walkevent Silk en Sand
"There is a place where heaven and earth to share the stage"
On Saturday, October 20 Foundation is organizing the second edition of sports promotion Ameland walking event between the Swallow and Sand. Walking between Ameland and Wadden Sea with alternating routes 10, 17 and 25 km. The start and finish of the tour is in the charming village of Nes. Click here for more information.

15 december Ameland Adventure run
The 9th edition of the Adventurerun Ameland takes place on Saturday, December 15, 2012. The following distances can be walked: 21.1 km race and fun run, 10 km fun run, 5 km fun run, 1 and 2 km Kidsrun. The Adventurerun is a race and fun run for ages. Brave the winter elements and experience the unspoiled nature of the unique Wadden. The trail leads through rolling and partly unpaved paths. Click here for more information.
