7 july Jan van Vlieland Kaatspartij
It seemed initiator January Houter a good idea to organize a tennis party, because in the summer, many Frisians people on Vlieland. Every year there are between ten and fifteen groups who take part. Both women and men can register, the minimum age is twelve years. Assignment is possible at the reception site Stortemelk.

12 August Half Marathon
The best course of the Netherlands. Every first Sunday of August the Stortermelk Half Marathon run. There are distances, 5 and 10 km. The course is very attractive because of its diversity and runs through the forest, dunes, beaches, hills, shells and asphalt paths.

Unknown date Bridgedrive
A nice bridge drive which played in various bars and restaurants in the village street.
The dorpstraat is the main street of Vlieland, where a cozy pub crawl is held and while enjoying the game bridge.

26 december Kerstcross
The idea of the Christmascross was to compensate the feeling of guilt, guilt that most people get from the abundant food and drink intake of 1st Christmas Day, the next day with a fun run for 5 or 10 km. It is a family walk for all ages!
